When an unexpected illness or injury needs attention, Sanova Urgent Care provides walk-in evaluation and treatment for children and adults with non-life-threatening medical concerns. Our North Oracle Road clinic serves Catalina, SaddleBrooke, Oro Valley, Rancho Vistoso, Sun City Oro Valley, and nearby communities. From common infections and minor injuries to on-site X-rays and diagnostic testing, we help patients take the next step toward appropriate treatment.
We are open Monday through Saturday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with no appointment needed for routine urgent-care visits. Walk in during business hours or complete your registration forms online before arriving. For questions about a particular service, Please call us.
Sanova accepts most major insurance plans. For walk-in patients that matters at the front desk, not after the fact — you should know before you are seen whether your plan works here.
Medicare is accepted, which matters along this stretch of Oracle Road: SaddleBrooke, SaddleBrooke Ranch and Sun City Oro Valley are among the largest retirement communities in southern Arizona, and a walk-in visit here does not require a drive into Tucson. Bring your red, white and blue Medicare card, plus any Medicare Advantage or supplement card you carry, since the Advantage plan is what determines your copay.
AHCCCS is accepted. Arizona’s Medicaid program covers urgent care visits, and using a walk-in clinic for a non-emergency problem is both appropriate and considerably cheaper for the system than an emergency department visit for the same complaint. Bring your AHCCCS card and a photo ID.
Tricare is accepted for active duty families, retirees and dependents in the Tucson area. Coverage rules differ by plan — Prime, Select and For Life each handle urgent care and referrals differently — so it is worth confirming your specific plan’s urgent care rules before you are seen.
UnitedHealthcare, Optum, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, Arizona Complete Health and Humana are all accepted. Plan and network participation can vary between products within the same carrier, so verifying your specific plan is always worth the two minutes.
If you have not met your deductible, running a visit through insurance often costs more than simply paying the posted self-pay rate. Sanova publishes flat self-pay pricing so you can compare the two before deciding which way to run the visit. Ask at check-in — it is a normal question, not an awkward one.
HSA and FSA cards are accepted for eligible services, whether you are using insurance or paying the self-pay rate.
Your insurance card (and your Medicare Advantage or supplement card if you have one), a photo ID, and a current medication list. If your plan requires a referral or prior authorization for urgent care, that is worth checking with your carrier before you arrive.

For some non-emergency concerns, a video visit may be an appropriate starting point. Sanova offers telehealth evaluation for eligible patients physically located in Arizona. Your clinician determines whether symptoms can be assessed remotely or require an in-person examination, testing, imaging, or a procedure. Telehealth is not a substitute for emergency care or services that require hands-on treatment.
Explore Telehealth Urgent Care →Same-day evaluation and treatment across a broad range of appropriate, non-life-threatening concerns.
Colds, flu, fever, sore throat/strep, COVID symptoms, ear infections, UTIs, skin/soft-tissue infections, cellulitis, nausea/vomiting/GI symptoms, allergies, and appropriate respiratory infections.
Shortness of breath, wheezing, asthma and COPD flare-ups, cough and chest congestion. Treatment depends on clinical findings.
Sprains, strains, suspected fractures, falls, back/knee/joint pain, sports injuries, cuts and minor burns. On-site digital X-ray (chest, limbs, spine) and fracture splinting when indicated — with orthopedic bracing or a walking boot when clinically appropriate.
Migraines, recurrent headaches, tension-type headaches, and headaches associated with common illness or nausea. A sudden "worst headache" or new neurologic symptoms need emergency evaluation instead.
Evaluation and treatment of appropriate skin and soft-tissue infections, including cellulitis and infected wounds — oral, IM or IV antibiotic treatment when medically appropriate.
Digital X-ray, rapid flu/strep/COVID testing, CBC and metabolic blood panels, urine testing, and confidential STD/STI testing — combined with your exam to build a treatment plan.
Sports and school physicals ($45 self-pay), drug testing and pre-employment screening.
Evaluation of significantly elevated blood-pressure readings, symptom assessment, and a determination of outpatient follow-up vs. emergency evaluation when appropriate.
A separate, clinician-supervised medical infusion pathway for patients with a documented clinical indication — not a wellness drip.

Sanova offers evaluation for appropriate pediatric concerns. A clinician determines whether an examination, testing, treatment, or referral is needed. Rapid strep, flu, and COVID testing may be recommended when appropriate for the child’s symptoms and clinical situation.
A baby younger than 3 months with a temperature of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher needs immediate medical assessment. For any child, fever accompanied by unusual drowsiness, breathing difficulty, a stiff neck, or other concerning symptoms warrants prompt medical advice.
No. Antibiotics do not treat viruses that cause common colds. A clinician will determine whether a bacterial infection is likely and whether testing is needed. For suspected strep throat, test results help guide treatment; some negative rapid strep tests in children require a follow-up throat culture.
Bring identification, the child’s insurance information, and a current medication list. For a sports or school physical, also bring the required forms, relevant medical history, and glasses or contact lenses normally worn. Contact the clinic in advance about guardian or consent requirements for your situation.
Yes. Sanova provides walk-in sports and school physicals. Bring the required paperwork and relevant medical information. Clearance depends on the examination findings, and an unresolved injury or concerning symptom may require additional evaluation. A sports physical is not a replacement for a full annual preventive visit.
Yes. On-site digital X-rays are available when your clinician determines that imaging is appropriate. Selected injuries may be treated with a splint, brace, or walking boot when indicated and available. More serious fractures or injuries may require orthopedic or emergency care.
Not necessarily. Some rapid tests can produce results during your visit, while other tests require processing by an outside laboratory. The timing depends on the specific test. Your clinician will explain the expected turnaround and follow-up process.
Sanova evaluates appropriate stable respiratory concerns, including asthma and COPD flare-ups and suspected pneumonia. Testing and treatment depend on the examination.
Yes. Sanova evaluates urinary symptoms and offers on-site urinalysis and antibiotic treatment when appropriate. Selected patients with urinary retention may receive Foley catheter placement when safe and indicated.
Yes. Self-pay options are available. Review the current pricing with the clinic and ask which services are included. Testing, imaging, procedures, or other treatments may affect the total cost of the visit.
Some concerns can be assessed through video, but others require an in-person examination or testing. Sanova’s telehealth services are available to eligible patients physically located in Arizona. The clinician determines whether remote care is appropriate or whether you need an in-person visit or emergency evaluation.
