Dr. Kiyan Rad is a double board-certified specialist in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine with more than 10 years of clinical experience. A 2014 graduate of the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Rad provides dedicated primary care, weight management, and complex care coordination at Sanova Medical Group in Tucson. Alongside his clinical practice, he shares his medical expertise as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Arizona and as the Department Chair of Medicine at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

BETH: In 2016, I graduated, with honors, as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Urgent Care has been my specialty since 2017. I enjoy the fast pace setting and the ability to help a wide variety of problems and conditions. I started my nursing career in 2007 as a labor and delivery nurse and later worked in the perioperative setting as a recovery room nurse. I love working with people and strive to improve patient outcomes through listening intently and providing care as I would to my own family.As a Tucson native, my roots run deep here. I grew up in the Oro Valley area and still live walking distance from where I was raised. My husband is also a Tucson native and we have four wonderful boys with three daughters-in-law. We live on a hobby ranch with dogs, miniature highland cows, horses and chickens. We enjoy traveling, gardening, local live music, biking, ATV riding, target shooting, and skiing.

Kim is a nationally certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She received her undergraduate degree in Nursing from the University of Arizona in 1993 and went on to work with cardiac patients for most of her career. She has also worked in the Emergency Department and perioperative areas at various times throughout her 25 years as a registered nurse. After many years as an RN, Kim decided she was ready for the next step in her career and attended Grand Canyon University to obtain her master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2017. She worked 3 years in primary care before transitioning to urgent care.

Dr. Kiyan Rad, DO, is our Medical Director and an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Arizona. He sets the clinical protocols our nurse practitioners follow, reviews complex cases, and is the reason we can confidently handle things many walk-in clinics send to the ER — chest-wall pain, breathing trouble, dehydration that needs IV fluids, and injuries that need an X-ray read on the spot.
Beth Brown, FNP, has practiced urgent care since 2017 after years as a labor-and-delivery and recovery-room nurse. Kim Wall, FNP, spent most of her 25-year nursing career with cardiac and emergency patients before moving to primary and urgent care. Both are nationally certified family nurse practitioners who see infants, kids, adults and seniors.
Our providers live in and around Oro Valley and Catalina. They know the summer heat that sends hikers in dehydrated, the winter snowbird season when visitors need care without a local doctor, and the schools and sports leagues that keep us busy with sprains and physicals each fall.
Because our providers work alongside on-site digital X-ray and lab testing, most visits — from a suspected fracture to a UTI or strep test — are diagnosed and treated in the same visit. See the full list of walk-in services our team provides.

Yes. Sanova Urgent Care is physician-led. Dr. Kiyan Rad, DO, a double board-certified internal medicine physician, serves as Medical Director and oversees the clinical care delivered by our nurse practitioners, so every visit is backed by physician-level judgment.
Yes. Our providers see patients of all ages, from infants with fevers and ear infections to older adults managing falls, UTIs and breathing problems. Families from Oro Valley, Catalina and SaddleBrooke can be seen together in one walk-in visit.
In most cases, yes. If you're running low on a routine maintenance medication and can't get a timely appointment with your PCP, our providers can evaluate you and write a bridge refill. We do not refill controlled substances.

While we operate primarily as a walk-in clinic to ensure the fastest service possible, you
are welcome to ask if a specific provider is on duty when you arrive. We will do our best
to accommodate your request based on availability!
