You should know what a visit costs before you walk in. Sanova Urgent Care publishes flat self-pay pricing — a standard visit is $140 — and accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicare, AHCCCS, and Tricare. No hidden fees, no surprise bill three weeks later. The same posted prices apply whether you are coming from Oro Valley, Catalina, SaddleBrooke or Rancho Vistoso.

We accept most major health insurance plans in Arizona:
Don't see yours? Call (520) 232-2525. We likely accept it, and we'll check while you're on the phone rather than making you guess.
We accept Medicare, and for most Medicare patients an urgent care visit is covered as an outpatient service with your usual cost-sharing applying. Bring your Medicare card and any supplemental or Advantage plan card.
This matters for our neighborhoods specifically. SaddleBrooke, Sun City Oro Valley, and much of Catalina skew older, and the difference between a walk-in visit here and an emergency room trip is significant — in cost, in wait time, and in how the day goes. We're minutes away rather than a drive down into the valley.
We accept AHCCCS. Bring your card. If you're unsure whether your specific AHCCCS plan is contracted with us, call ahead and we'll verify it in a couple of minutes.
We accept Tricare. Bring your military ID and Tricare card. Referral and authorization requirements vary by Tricare plan type — call ahead if you're unsure how your plan handles urgent care.
We accept Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards. Urgent care visits, testing, and most treatment are generally eligible expenses. We provide an itemized receipt for your records or for reimbursement.
Under the federal No Surprises Act, patients who are uninsured or paying out of pocket have the right to a written estimate of what their care will cost. If you'd like one, ask at check-in and we'll provide it.
If a final bill comes in substantially higher than the estimate you were given, you have the right to dispute it through the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.
We built our pricing to make this mostly unnecessary — the number on this page is the number — but the right exists and you should know about it.
If you have a high-deductible plan and haven't met your deductible yet, running a visit through insurance often means paying the full negotiated rate anyway — which can be more than our flat self-pay price.
You're welcome to ask us to quote it both ways before you're seen. We'll tell you the self-pay total, and you can decide. Some patients choose self-pay for simplicity and a known number; others prefer to run it through insurance so the visit counts toward their deductible. Both are legitimate, and it depends on your plan and where you are in the year.
What we won't do is decide that for you quietly. Ask at check-in and we'll lay out both options. We're not able to advise you on your specific plan's terms — check your plan documents or call your insurer for coverage details. What we can tell you is exactly what a visit costs here.
For patients without insurance, with a high deductible, or who simply prefer to pay directly. These are our prices. You'll know the total before treatment begins.
| Service | Price |
|---|---|
| Standard urgent care visit (illness or injury evaluation & treatment) | $140 |
| Sports or school physical (certified medical evaluation) | $45 |
| Rapid test add-on (flu, strep, or COVID-19) | $35–$50 |
| Digital X-ray (per study) | $75 |
| IV hydration (starting at — see full menu) | $90 |
Prices shown are for self-pay patients. Most insurance copays are lower. Additional testing or procedures are priced separately and always discussed with you before they're done.
Transparency means saying both parts out loud.
💬 Nothing gets added without telling you what it costs first. If a test or procedure would change your bill, we say so before we do it — that's what "no-surprise billing" actually means.
For the everyday problems urgent care handles — a fever, a sore throat, a sprained ankle, a cut that needs stitches — where you go is the single biggest factor in what you pay.
| Where You Go | Typical Cost | Typical Wait |
|---|---|---|
| Sanova Urgent Care | $140 flat for a standard visit | ~15 minutes |
| Hospital Emergency Room | Commonly $1,500–$3,000; one analysis of 2.5 billion claims put the 2024 average near $2,715 | Often 2–6 hours |
| Freestanding Emergency Room | Bills at ER rates, despite looking like an urgent care | Varies |
Emergency rooms exist for emergencies, and when you need one, cost shouldn't be the deciding factor. But for the things we treat, the difference is real money.
Winter visitors make up a meaningful share of the Oracle Road corridor from October through April, and "what happens if I get sick here" is a reasonable thing to wonder about.
💬 If you're renting for the season in SaddleBrooke, Sun City Oro Valley, or Catalina we're the closest walk-in clinic to most of those addresses.
Complete your intake forms online before you arrive and spend your wait being seen instead of writing. Secure and HIPAA-compliant.
Your health information is protected and private.
