How it works for applicants

Bring a photo ID and any form your employer gave you. Check in (or pre-register online), and our staff will collect the specimen or complete the physical — usually 15 to 30 minutes. Negative rapid screens are reported the same day; anything non-negative goes to the laboratory for confirmation and is reported within 2 to 3 business days. Results go only to the authorized employer contact.

What we don't do — and where to go instead

Sanova does not perform DOT/CDL physicals. For those, we're glad to point you to a DOT-certified examiner. Everything else an employer typically needs — testing, physicals, immunization requirements and same-day illness or injury care for employees on their own insurance — is handled here.

Pricing and related services

Drug screens, physicals, TB tests and titers are flat-priced and listed on our insurance and costs page; employers can request a volume quote. Related: on-site lab testing · sports and school physicals · all walk-in services · areas we serve · hours and directions.

Drug testing and screening questions we hear every week

Do I need an appointment for a drug test?

No. Walk in Monday through Saturday, 7am to 7pm, with your photo ID and any paperwork or chain-of-custody form from your employer. Collection takes about 15 minutes. Employers can also call (520) 232-2525 to set up an account so applicants simply show up with their name on file.

What kinds of drug tests do you offer?

Urine drug screens in 5-, 10- and 12-panel formats (including the standard pre-employment panels), with rapid on-site screening for negative results and laboratory confirmation for any non-negative result. Alcohol screening and specialty panels are available on request. Ask about the panel your employer specified and we'll match it.

How fast are results, and how does my employer get them?

A negative rapid screen is typically available the same day. Non-negative results are sent to the laboratory for confirmation and reviewed before reporting, usually within 2 to 3 business days. Results go directly to the employer contact on the authorization form, by fax or secure email — never to anyone who isn't authorized.

What is included in a pre-employment physical?

Height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, vision and hearing screen, heart and lung exam, and a musculoskeletal and fitness-for-duty assessment tailored to the job description your employer provides. Lab work, drug screening and TB testing can be added in the same visit, and the employer's form is completed and signed before you leave.

Do you offer TB tests, titers and vaccinations for healthcare or school jobs?

Yes. TB skin tests (PPD, with the required 48–72 hour read), TB blood tests, hepatitis B and MMR/varicella titers, and common employment vaccines are available on a walk-in basis — a frequent need for new hires at local hospitals, clinics, schools and senior communities.

Do you do DOT physicals?

No. Sanova does not perform DOT/CDL physicals. We focus on drug testing, pre-employment screening, employment physicals and immunization requirements, and we'll happily point you to a DOT-certified examiner if that's what you need.

How much does drug testing or a pre-employment screening cost?

Employers and self-pay applicants pay a flat, posted price per test or physical — no insurance billing, no surprise charges. Current pricing for drug screens, physicals, TB tests and titers is on our insurance and costs page, or call (520) 232-2525 for an employer quote on volume testing.

Can employers set up an account for ongoing testing?

Yes. We work with small and mid-size employers in Oro Valley, Catalina, SaddleBrooke and Marana — construction, landscaping, hospitality, home health, senior living, schools and retail — for pre-employment, random and post-offer testing. Call (520) 232-2525 or email [email protected] to set up authorization forms, pricing and a results contact.
